{"id":383,"date":"2016-06-28T15:46:29","date_gmt":"2016-06-28T15:46:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.magneticideals.org\/home\/?p=383"},"modified":"2016-06-28T15:46:29","modified_gmt":"2016-06-28T15:46:29","slug":"calling-trade-union-and-students-union-staff-and-reps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.magneticideals.org\/home\/2016\/06\/28\/calling-trade-union-and-students-union-staff-and-reps\/","title":{"rendered":"Calling Trade Union and Students&#8217; Union Staff and Reps!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <em>Unionising the Future<\/em> project looks to understand and bolster local relationships between Students\u2019 Unions and Trade Unions.\u00a0 We are looking to provide research and resources in this area, working with Students\u2019 Union and Trade Union representatives to share experiences, map activity and bring people together to discuss the future, which is looking ever more precarious in light of the recent referendum and impending HE bill.<\/p>\n<p>Some practical things we are looking at doing include: <em>Providing a guide for Students\u2019 Unions about Trade Unions their working students can join with details on costs and benefits.\u00a0 Sharing Case Studies on successful joint campaigns.\u00a0 Trying to understand that this is not always and easy relationship, and bringing people together to discuss why this is, and ways we can overcome it.\u00a0 Providing training and resources for both Trade Unions and Students\u2019 Unions on joint working\u2026.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u2026. interested?<\/p>\n<p>Our first piece of research <a href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/forms\/SBRgWvFXPD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">is a brief survey<\/a> &#8211; it would be great if you could take the time to complete it!
